Modi-Lalu waterguns dominate Bihar markets in Holi

With the arrival of the festival of colours, markets in Bihar are prepared to celebrate the festival with fervour and gaiety. As the festival falls before the Lok Sabha elections, Political parties too are all set to blend with the hues of gulaal.

Patna: With the nation set to celebrate the festival of Holi on Thursday, leaders of different political parties are preparing to blend with the colours and use the occasion to garner more support from the people.

While the Bharatiya Janata Party in Jaipur has been selling packets of 'Shaurya Gulaal' to the masses on this occasion, water guns inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav is dominating markets in Bihar.

As Lok Sabha election 2019 approaches, politics is taking over every facet of people's life. A trader said that people are fascinated by turban inspired by PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

While netas are trying their level best to woo voters with savouries and thandai, without violating the model code of conduct, it will be interesting to see the real colours of holi on May 23.

The seven-phased polling in the country will begin on April 11 and culminate on May 19. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
