New Delhi: Union Minister and BJP MP from Bihar, RK Singh on Friday expressed confidence that the LJP would contest the upcoming State Assembly as part of the NDA, and the ruling dispensation would retain power.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Singh said that disagreements were common during talks about seat sharing, as each party wanted to contest on the maximum seats.
Singh expressed confidence that the NDA would retain power in Bihar "During seat-sharing talks in an alliance, such things are common. Every party wants the maximum seats for its candidates. But we (BJP, JDU, and LJP) are together, will contest together, and will also win together," he said.
Singh also brushed aside the possibility of anti-incumbency in Bihar, claiming that the work done during Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure was unmatched.
"Anti-incumbency is just a theory. The reality is, the amount of work done in Bihar during the tenure of Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was never done before. All development work which we used to dream about, is now happening in Bihar," he said.

The Union Minister further said that when Nitish Kumar first came to power, the condition of roads was so bad that one could only see the pot-holes. But today, the state has better roads, he said.
"There used to be a traffic jam on Mahatma Gandhi Setu everyday. Now PM Modi has approved a new bridge. Thousands of villages did not have electricity earlier, now they do. The lantern era is gone," he said.
Singh also praised the Centre for its work during the COVID lockdown, saying that many poor families benefited from the free ration and cylinders that the government provided.
Earlier today, the Election Commission announced that voting for Bihar assembly elections will be held in three phases -- first on October 28, second on November 3 and the third on November 7 -- while counting of all votes will take place on November 10.
Voting for the first phase on October 28 will cover 71 assembly constituencies, while the second-phase voting on November 3 will cover 94 seats. The third phase of voting on November 7 will cover 78 assembly seats.
