Patna:Just before the Bihar assembly elections, Lok Janata Party (LJP) chief Chirag Paswan had decided to contest independently and left the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He fielded 134 of his candidates out of which, only one candidate could win, but his candidates have spoiled the political game of other parties in 54 seats.
Most of the LJP candidates were in the fray against JDU candidates and against BJP in seats like Govidangaj, Lalganj, Bhagalpur, Raghopur, Rosda and Narkatiaganj.
Although registering a win in only one seat, LJP finished second and third in many seats damaging the chances of NDA on 30 seats and the Grand Alliance on 24 seats and BJP's on one seat.
