New Delhi:The grand alliance today announced the division of seats for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in which the Left parties have got 29 seats.
There are three leftist parties mainly the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM), Communist Party of India (CPI) and Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) CPI(ML) in Bihar which have a good cadre base.
In the previous assembly election, the left parties had contested separately and did not win. In the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the left parties fielded candidates against each other, due to which once again they failed miserably.
Learning from the previous elections, this time the three left parties decided to contest elections with the grand alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress and now after the announcement of seat-sharing, they have received 29 seats. Of these, CPM 4, CPI 6, and CPI-ML will contest 19 seats.
The coming together of the Left parties' has made the Grand Alliance stronger and it is touted that this time it will be difficult to ignore them in the Bihar Assembly elections.
