Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Tarkishore Prasad was on Sunday unanimously elected as the leader of BJP legislature party in Bihar.
According to sources, he is set to take oath as the deputy chief minister of Bihar on Monday.

The 64-year-old BJP leader has risen from the ranks of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), an affiliate of the RSS.
He hails from the Kalwar caste, which is a part of the Vaishya community that comes under the backward class category.
Prasad has been winning the Katihar constituency since October 2005.
He passed the Intermediate (10+2) exam in the science stream from DS College in Katihar in 1974 and has shown agriculture as his profession in the affidavit submitted during the recently-held elections.
Prasad successfully contested the Katihar Assembly seat in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections.
He defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Dr Ram Prakash Mahto by a margin of over 10,500 votes.
He had won the Assembly seat in 2015 as well with a margin of 9.7 per cent.
He had secured 66,048 votes against Janata Dal-United candidate Bijay Singh.
He managed to win the seat in the last Assembly election despite the strong campaigning by Lalu and Nitish.
It is pertinent to mention here that Prasad's elevation has been widely hailed by the rank and file of the BJP in Seemanchal.
In Seemanchal BJP and its ally JD-U won 12 seats out of 24 in with the BJP alone winning eight seats.
