JDU-BJP ready for Bihar polls, not in alliance with LJP: KC Tyagi

JDU National General Secretary KC Tyagi in an exclusive conversation with ETV Bharat said that JDU-BJP alliance is completely ready to win the Bihar Assembly polls 2020 and form the government. He also stated that JDU is not in an alliance with LJP.

New Delhi:With Election Commission announcing the dates for Bihar Assembly polls 2020, Janata Dal (United) National General Secretary KC Tyagi said that the party is fully prepared to win the elections. He claimed that NDA will again form the government in Bihar with a strong majority.

In an exclusive interaction with ETV Bharat, Tyagi said that the party workers were waiting for the announcements of poll dates and this time the party will be highlighting the development work done by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in 15 years.

"The election issue will be targetted on the development work done by Nitish Kumar in the past 15 years as compared to the work done by former RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in 15 years. People have not forgotten the maladministration done by Lalu." Tyagi said while adding that Nitish Kumar has done hard work to create new developed Bihar.

He also asserted that JDU was never into an alliance with Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) neither in 2005, 2010 or 2015 Assembly elections.

"JDU is into an alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party and we are in a very strong position in Bihar," Tyagi said.

Speaking about the grand alliance, Tyagi stated that grand alliance is not united in Bihar.

"Jitan Ram Manjhi left the grand alliance even Upendra Kushwaha is also expected to leave it. No one is ready to accept Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Minister candidate," JDU National General Secretary said.

Assembly Elections in Bihar are scheduled to be held in three phases. Voting for the first phase will be held on October 28. Amid all the preparations, NDA is also not united with the grand alliance in Bihar. The conflict between JDU and LJP has considerably increased within NDA. LJP may get separated from Bihar NDA and can contest Assembly polls on 143 seats. LJP can also plant candidates on each seat against JDU.
