New Delhi: The national spokesman of the Hindustani Awam Morcha joined the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in the presence of its leader Chirag Paswan in Delhi. The move is seen as a blow to the leader of the Morcha, Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Dhirendra Singh Munna contested the 2015 assembly elections in Nawada in Bihar. Munna has said that he wants to work for the interest of the Dalits, poor and the deprived. He further added that Chirag Paswan is standing firmly with these sections of the society and is fighting for their interest. "That's why I want to support Chirag Paswan," he said.

The LJP broke into two factions sometime back with five MPs, including Paswan's uncle and MP Pashupati Paras leaving the party. The rebel MPs have been expelled by Chirag Paswan. On the other hand, the rebel MPs made Paras the leader of the LJP in parliament.

Chirag Paswan in a show of strength called a meeting of the National Executive of the party. Almost 95 percent of LJP cadres and leaders were seen supporting him. Pashupati Paras' faction claim they are the real LJP while Chirag Paswan led-group countered the claim. The matter is now before Election Commission.
