Motihari: Pramod Kumar, a minister in Nitish Kumar government, has said government alone cannot help and rehabilitate the flood affected people, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), other bodies and individuals should also come forward to help the affected.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday after visiting the flood affected areas in his constituency Motihari, the minister said all possible help is being provided to the flood affected people in his constituency.
Nitish's minsiter makes absurd remark over Bihar floods On being confronted by the ETV Bharat why food was being cooked only at few places and what arrangements were in place for people in other affected areas, the minister said efforts were made to provide immediate relief to the people still residing in the flooded areas.
He, however, could not give satisfactory answer as to why food was being cooked only at selected few places and how he plans to ensure food for people living in other areas.
The minister kept on repeating that government alone cannot help all the flood affected, and others, including NGOs, should come forward and help the affected.
