Kishanganj (Bihar): Four workers from Bihar died in a landslide in the hilly region of Nepal on Friday. The four migrant workers were hailing from the Dighalbank block area in the Kishanganj district of Bihar. The workers were in the age group of 22 to 30 years. They were working in the Fikal area of the Himalayan state. The deceased were identified as Muzaffar Alam, Abdul Alam, Tauseeb and Azimuddin, all residents of Bihar's Kishanganj district.
The landslides occurred in the mountainous region of Nepal when these four labourers were working near a house. Officials from the Nepal administration rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. A rescue team was pressed into service to retrieve the bodies from the debris.
Sources said that a house collapsed due to a landslide. The house came crashing down. The debris fell on them leading to the death of four migrant workers. The tragic incident took place on Friday at 4 pm. On hearing the news of death, a pall of gloom descended on Berbanna village of the district in the state. People were mourning the demise of the four workers.
