Patna:The nationwide lockdown across the country to contain coronavirus has brought the family of former Bihar Chief Minister Bhola Paswan Shastri on the brink of starvation. The family was facing an acute shortage of ration due to the lockdown.
After ETV Bharat highlighted the plight of the family, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav came forward to help the family.
The RJD leader sent party workers to the village to hand over ration and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the family on June 4. The leader of opposition in Bihar also assured the family to provide all the essential support during a video call.
Meanwhile, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Chirag Paswan demanded from the government to provide job to the family member of former Bihar CM. He also provided financial support to the family by sending a cheque of Rs 1.11 lakh.
Former Bihar CM nephew Biranchi Paswan said: "The family was facing a huge financial crisis amid lockdown. After media highlighted our issue, many people came forward to help us. RJD leader said that they will support. Tejashwi Yadav provided us Rs 1 lakh. I even had telephonic conversation with Chirag Paswan. He also assured to help us."

He immediately sent Rs 1 lakh from their party members," Biranchi further said.
RSS Rajeev Srivastava assured the family that a job will be provided to them. Shashi Ranjan Kumar and Chitranj Samaj also came forward to support the family. The family members were thankful to ETV Bharat as they received the required help during the lockdown.
The coronavirus-induced lockdown has fatally affected many people and they are facing a lot of problems. ETV Bharat had been prominently displaying their plight and this time, it has highlighted the plight of former Bihar Chief Minister Bhola Paswan Shastri's family condition, after which RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has taken such steps for them.
