Purnea: There is a piece of good news for the young cricket aspirants of Seemanchal region of Bihar. Former Indian cricket team all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is set to come up with Bihar's first cricket academy in Purnea. The academy will be inaugurated by Yuvraj.
During his a one-day tour to Bihar, Yuvraj, inspected the site where the academy has been proposed. This will be the state's first academy to train young boys and girls who aspire to be cricketers, Yuvraj said adding that he himself will groom the young players.
In order to improve the performance of the players, national level experts and coaches will visit the academy from time to time for training and selection purposes. Players will be trained on both the nitty-gritty as well as tricks of cricket. "Apart from the experts, I myself will impart training to the players. Children will no longer have to go outside Bihar to learnt the game. Players of our cricket academy will be guided and assisted for performing at the state, national and international levels. Infact, the players will also be given a chance to go to the cricket camps organised in other states," Yuvraj said.
