Patna (Bihar): Though the ruling BJP-JD(U) alliance in Bihar had been taking constant potshots at the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, the NDA itself seems to be on a sticky wicket, as sources revealed that Tejashwi Yadav has offered more seats to LJP for the upcoming state elections.
According to sources, the LJP, which is part of the ruling coalition in Bihar, has been offered 33 seats for the upcoming polls. However, LJP president Chirag Paswan has made it clear that his party will not settle for anything less than 43 seats, sources revealed.
Further, Paswan is unhappy that the JD(U) has been getting preference within the ruling alliance, sources added.
However, what makes the development especially worrisome for the JD(U)-BJP is the fact that Chirag Paswan is even considering quitting the NDA if his demands are not met, sources said.
In order to avert any such possibility, BJP Bihar in-charge Bhupender Yadav has held two meetings with Chirag Paswan in the past four days.
