Patna:Chirag Paswan, son of late Ram Vilas Paswan, used the occasion of his father's death anniversary to taunt Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The relationship between Chirag and Nitish turned bitter ever since there was a split in LJP and the group led by Chirag's uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras removed Chirag from the post of LJP president.
When reporters asked whether he would invite Nitish for the event on September 12 to mark the first death anniversary of his father, Chirag said, “I have sought an appointment with the Chief Minister to invite him for my father's death anniversary. But it is not an easy task to get his appointment. However, I am hopeful that he will spare some time for me before the event.”
On Wednesday, Chirag visited Tejashwi Prasad Yadav at his 10 Circular Road residence where he issued the statement taunting Nitish.
Earlier, soon after the LJP split, Chirag had accused that few people from JDU had hatched the conspiracy to break his party when he was ill.
It was chief minister Nitish Kumar who had introduced the Mahadalit category in Bihar after which late Ram Vilas Paswan had criticized him.

The reason behind Nitish's anger against Chirag is that LJP fielding candidates against the JDU candidates in the 2020 assembly poll and pushed JDU to the third position in Bihar.
In fact, LJP had played a pivotal role in the defeat of JDU candidates. During the Bihar election, there was talk that Chirag had fielded his candidates against JDU on the instruction of BJP so that the saffron party could downsize Nitish. Looking at the strength of the JDU in the assembly at present, it has been proved that BJP had achieved success in their plan.
