Patna (Bihar) :The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids at nine locations in Bihar's Patna and Arrah in the land-for-jobs case. The raids were conducted on the properties of RJD MP Prem Chand Gupta, party MLA Kiran Devi and former MLA Arun Yadav. At Arrah, raids are underway at the residence of MLA Kiran Devi. CBI raids are also underway at locations related to a man identified as Prem Chand Gupta in Noida, Delhi and Gurugram, an official source said.
A large number of RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) supporters gathered outside Arun Yadav's residence as soon as they got to know about the raids. The situation outside his house remains tense. Former MLA Arun is known to be close to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.
The CBI has raided several other locations including the ancestral residence of MLA Kiran Devi and her husband in Arrah, Bihar. Devi's husband is former MLA Arun Kumar Yadav. Several CBI teams are raiding their ancestral residence, Agiaon. At the same time, a large number of the MLA's supporters arrived at his residence to express their solidarity. They stayed put there in view of the continuing searches by the CBI teams.
