Patna: After gaining huge success in Bihar elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has started training programmes at around 1,100 mandals across the state. According to sources, the training programme has been planned to prepare party workers to tackle any political crisis including the possibility of midterm elections.

“The way Bihar is developing politically it seems nothing is impossible. You cannot deny the possible chances of midterm polls and if it happens shortly then the party workers and activists will remain prepared to face any situation," a senior BJP leader said.

It is considered that BJP wants to become the number one party and to achieve this goal, the top leaders are planning their strategy accordingly.

With state unit president Dr Sanjay Jaiswal also attending the training sessions, it becomes clear that these programmes are having great importance. So far, nearly 200 training programmes have been conducted in different districts.

"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, we have started a much bigger membership programme. As of now, BJP is the biggest political party in the world with 18 crore members. We not only make members but also give them training," said Mritunjay Jha, in-charge of Bihar training programme.

BJP has set a target of giving training to 1,25,000 active members out of 1,40,000. As per the data available, there are 1.38 crore members of BJP in Bihar and the saffron party wants to utilise their strength at its best ways.

BJP spokesperson Sanjay Tiger stressed that the party always gives importance to its principles and ideology.

"After the 2014 election, there has been a bigger change in the party and it's leadership. We not only give training to our workers but also ensure that they must inculcate the habit of giving respect to the moral values," Tiger asserted.
