New Delhi:The results of the assembly election of Bihar indicates that the Janata Dal (United) can no longer continue with its "big brother" attitude as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to get more cabinet seats in the state.
The BJP won 74 of Bihar's 243 seats, while JDU succeeded in registering a win on 43 seats.
According to sources, the new cabinet will have more representation of BJP leaders as the saffron party won more seats than its ally JD(U).
Although putting all speculations to rest on the post of the Chief Minister, the BJP made it clear that Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as the chief minister of the state.
Bihar BJP in-charge Bhupendra Yadav reached Nitish Kumar's house on Tuesday and brainstormed to form a government, said sources.
It may be mentioned here that BJP has never formed the government on its own in Bihar and the saffron party could not have retained power in Bihar without the support of Nitish Kumar.
