New Delhi:With the country facing a lockdown and hospitals crumbling under pressure in the wake of an increasing number of coronavirus positive cases, a 48-year-old woman hailing from Bihar, who came here in order to get better healthcare facilities in New Delhi's AIIMS hospital, has been struggling for the last 15 days to get even doctor's appointment.
The AIIMS has set up a task force to develop a management protocol for COVID-19 and constituted several committees to be able to respond to the challenges that may crop up in the coming days due to the rising number of coronavirus cases.
The patient came here from Bihar's Begusarai district and was forced to live the life of nomads; soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown.
While talking to ETV Bharat, the patient said, "I am struggling from severe kidney pain. The doctors of my hometown suggested me injections whenever I visited their clinics to get relief from it. When the pain was out of control, I have decided to move to the national capital but here also, I have to struggle for treatment."
