Bihar polls 2020: Who will be the CM face for Congress-RJD alliance?

As Bihar polls are scheduled for October and November this year, there are many speculations about the NDA and UPA alliances. While speaking to ETV Bharat, Congress leader Akhilesh Singh said that all the allies will work together and win the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections.

New Delhi:Putting all the spectaculations to rest, as Congress on Saturday said that all the Mahagathbandhan allies -- Upendra Kushwaha-led Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP), Mukesh Sahni-led Vikassheel Inssan Party (VIP) and Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) would fight the assembly elections in the state alongside Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress.

While speaking to ETV Bharat, Congress leader Akhilesh Singh said that all the allies will work together and win the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections.

He said, "We want to take along every party. If we want to overthrow NDA to retain power, we have to work together."

Referring to the rumors of the Congress allies meet with Loktantrik Janata Dal(LJD) and poll strategist Prashant Kishor in New Delhi, Singh said, "I have no idea about this meeting. Whenever we will have the grand alliance meet, we will discuss about it. For now, we are together in the fight to free Bihar from NDA governance."

Bihar elections is slated for October and November this year.

Although the Assembly elections in Bihar is eight months away, the ball will be set rolling in August-end itself as the Election Commission is likely to announce the poll schedule in the last week of August.
