New Delhi:JDU Chief General Secretary KC Tyagi on Monday welcomed the Bihar government's decision to extend the Covid lockdown.
He stated that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken the decision in the interest of the people of Bihar to contain the spread of Covid infection.
The JDU National Spokesperson said that following the decision, cases of Covid are witnessing a steep decline across the state and people are also happy with the state government's efforts.

"The vaccination drive is being run on a large scale at a very fast pace to cover the entire population of the state," he asserted.
He also appreciated the Bihar government's move to provide an ex-gratia to the families of the deceased who lost their lives to coronavirus.
Covid lockdown in Bihar, which was imposed on May 5, has been extended for seven more days till June 8.
All the essential services will continue with additional relaxations being given to businesses.
