Bihar BJP spokesperson shot at in Munger

BJP spokesperson Ajfar Shamsi was shot at in Bihar's Munger by unidentified persons while he was on way to his college, where he is a professor.

Munger (Bihar): Bihar BJP spokesperson Ajfar Shamsi was shot at in broad daylight in Munger on Wednesday.

According to reports, Shamsi, who is also a professor at the JRS College, was going to the college for a lecture at around 11 am, when he was shot at within the college premises.

The BJP leader was rushed to the Sadar hospital for treatment.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, the BJP Spokesperson's son Asad Shamsi said that 3-4 persons on an autorickshaw fired bullets at his father.

Asad said his father was hit by two bullets -- one at the back of his head and the other at his stomach.

Asad said his father had an ongoing feud with the principal of the college and opposition leaders, who might be behind the attack.

Meanwhile, the police has initiated an investigation into the matter.
