Samastipur (Bihar): A woman, who ran away from her home owing to a family dispute, was finally united with her husband, here on Tuesday.

In the process, Rajalakshmi, who was pregnant, reached Bihar and was noticed by the locals when she had labour pains at Samastipur railway station.

Passers-by immediately shifted her to a nearby government hospital (Sadar Hospital), where she gave birth to a baby boy.

As she could not communicate in the local language, a translator was pressed into service, who in turn zeroed down on her details.

They were housed at Samastipur's Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) by Bihar police.

Few days later, the officials contacted AP police, who traced the woman's husband - Tiramayya, a daily-wage worker, and brought him to Bihar.

Tiramayya met his wife and newly-born child after a period of four months.

The couple thanked the respective state administrations for the help and ETV Bharat's reportage.
