Administration of Begusarai all set for the upcoming elections

The administration of Begusarai is all set for the elections and special attention is being given to booths where voting can be influenced by threatening people. Strict actions are being taken against criminals under CCA and District badar.

Begusarai:The instance of the first booth loot was registered in the 1957 General Elections in Rachiyahi, in Begusarai District's Matihani assembly seat.

But today the scenario is different as there exist various legal provisions for conducting fair and peaceful elections.

This year the administration of Begusarai is all set for the elections and special attention is being given to booths where voting can be influenced by threatening people.

The District police so far have taken action against 5000 people under CCA 107.

The District Magistrate has been written to for taking action against 110 people whereas, thousands of litres of illicit liquor have been destroyed.

Along with this, names of absconding warranties for 6 months will also be removed from the voter list.

As per Section 3/4 of the Gunda Niyantran Adhiniyam Act, the order of District badar is issued in case of anti-social elements, which are likely to lead to chaos and danger in society.

District badar's order stays for the first six months and it's the responsibility of the district police to keep an eye on the criminals.

Meanwhile, if any accused is found in the original district then the period of the district Badar will increase by six months.

For the purpose of controlling crime in the district and to maintain a peace system, the attendance of the criminals is taken in the separate police station.
