Minor girl raped and killed in Bihar's Rohtas district

An 8-year-old girl was killed after being raped in Bihar's Rohtas district. Her body was found in a box at the home of the suspected killer.

Rohtas (Bihar): An 8-year-old girl was allegedly raped and later killed in Bihar's Rohtas district on Saturday.

The girl according to the villagers was missing from her home after she went out for Diwali Pooja. Meanwhile, the villagers started searching for her following which she was found dead in a box in the house of the accused.

The accused Balram Singh who also lives in the same village had lured the girl after which he took her to his home and allegedly raped and killed her.

The angry villagers caught the accused and started beating him upon which he was rescued by the police and shifted to hospital for treatment.

The villagers were demanding that the accused should be hanged on the spot.

Meanwhile, the body of the girl has been sent for post-mortem. Police has arrested the accused and registered a case in this connection
