ULFA leader to join the mainstream after 37 years

The ULFA (I) leader and Major general Jiban Moran alias Gund Dangoria has decided to join the mainstream after spending 37 years as a rebel. The 65-year-old ULFA leader who joined the organisation in the year 1984 and underwent training in Burma, spent most of his lifetime in the forest while rebelling against the Union of India.

Guwahati: The ULFA (I) leader and Major general Jiban Moran alias Gund Dangoria has decided to join the mainstream after spending 37 years as a rebel.

The 65-year-old ULFA leader who joined the organisation in the year 1984 and underwent training in Burma, spent most of his lifetime in the forest while revolting against the Union of India. ULFA (I) in a letter released today, has allowed the 65-year-old leader to quit the organisation and join his family. However, the whereabouts of the rebel is still not known.

In a statement released on April 25, the ULFA (I) has mentioned Moran's decision of leaving the rebellious life so that he can spend the rest of his life with his family members. In a letter signed by the ULFA (I) president and supremo Abhijit Asom wished him the best by accepting his decision. The letter says that ULFA (I) has released Moran of all responsibilities of the organisation so that he can have proper health treatment while spending the rest of his life with his family.

Hence, the ULFA (I) leader is all set to return to his home by leaving his four decades of a long life with the banned militant outfit.
