Golaghat (Assam): Stranded by the lockdown since March 24, two differently-abled persons have decided to pedal to their home around 400 km away.
Ali Hussain and Akhtar Hussain of Silchar have started on their tricycles, specially designed for specially-abled persons, from Naojan in Golaghat district on Thursday. The two reached Numaligarh, located around 90 kms away, on Sunday. They hope to reach their homes in Silchar before the Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Both the Hussains are specially-abled and they earn their living by begging on the trains. However, they got stranded at Naojan in Golaghat district after the announcement of Lockdown due to COVID-19. The duo have lost their patience after spending 33 days in someone else's house in Naojan.
