Sonowal hosts traditional Assamese meal to Olympic medal winner Lovlina

Olympic bronze medal winner Boxer Lovlina Borgohain enjoyed an Assamese traditional meal with Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in New Delhi. Sonowal hosted Lovlina and her father Tiken Borgohain at his residence.

New Delhi: After a year, ace boxer Lovlina Borgohain enjoyed an Assamese traditional meal with Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in New Delhi. Sonowal hosted Lovlina and her father Tiken Borgohain at his residence in New Delhi.

Lovlina reached New Delhi on Monday from Tokyo where all the Olympic medal winners were felicitated at Hoel Ashoka. Lovlina will reach Assam on Thursday and Assam government had planned a extravagant reception to welcome the ace boxer.

She will be accorded a grand welcome at Gopinath Bordoloi International airport by the Assam government. She will stay at Hotel Taj Vivanta following which she will be felicitated at a function at Srimanat Sankardev Klakshetra for bringing the first Olympic medal to Assam.
