Need a permanent demarcation line to seperate Indo-China border: BD Lamba

Lauding the Modi government 2.0 for completing its first 100 days in office, Col. (Retd) BD Lamba said that this government has done some development compared to the previous government. He also suggested that there needs to be a permanent demarcation line between the Indo-China border in the Eastern Command.

Tezpur (Assam):With Modi government completing 100 days at the Centre for its second tenure, 17 Union ministers will reach out to the people and make them aware of the historic decisions made in the short period. On this occassion, Col. (Retd) BD Lamba talks about the development needed in the Eastern command.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Col. (Retd) BD Lamba said that as far as northeast areas are concerned, this government needs to implement a permanent demarcation line that seperates Indo-China region, as it would cut down the multiple intrusions reported every year.

"There is need to demarcate the border with China and the government must look towards this, as intrusions are reported due to improper demarcation," said Col. Lamba.

He further said that as far as Defence sector is concerned, the Modi government has taken some daring and bold steps and it must continue like this.

"Earlier, areas like Arunachal and Sikkim were very much neglected but presently it is developed to some exten," he said.

It is to be noted that with Modi's birthday falling on September 17, the BJP has decided that the entire week leading up to Prime Minister's birthday will be observed as "Seva Saptah".

All 303 BJP MPs have been asked to spell out what they could do in their respective constituencies to contribute to the "Seva Saptah".
