Guwahati:The flood situation in Assam worsened on Wednesday with the death toll rising to 28 and affecting nearly 57,51,938 people across 29 districts.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) report, the Brahmaputra river and its tributaries are flowing above the danger level.
Presently, 427 relief camps are operating in the state. The Centre has also sanctioned Rs. 251 crores for the flood-hit state.
