Elephant attack: 1 killed, death toll rises to 46 in Assam

The death toll rises to 46 in man-animal conflict in Goalpara district on Thursday. Over 44 lives have been claimed since 2018 in the elephant attack.

Goalpara: A man was brutally killed on Thursday by a wild elephant in Goalpara district taking the death toll to 46. The Rangagarah area in the district has been facing frequent attacks by elephants.

Lakhin Rabha was the latest victim. His house was devastated and he was brutally killed.

The forest department is making efforts to capture the elephant.

Since 2018, man-animal conflicts have claimed 44 lives so far.
