Assam power dept employee dies of electrocution, head ripped off

Disturbing visuals from Assam's Biswanath district show a power department employee dying after his head got separated from his body on being accidentally electrocuted.

Biswanath (Assam): In a horrific incident, a power department employee died after his head got separated from his body on being electrocuted while carrying out repairs on an electric pole in Assam's Biswanath district on Wednesday.

Disturbing visuals of the incident show the man's body in flames atop the electric pole. His head then gets separated from his body and falls down.

According to reports, the power department employee, identified as Robin Das, was carrying out repair work on a 11,000 volt power line, when he accidentally got electrocuted.

Locals reportedly blamed the careless attitude of the power department for the man's horrific death.
