Guwahati:Amidst the heated situation that is prevailing in Assam due to the Assembly Election, another incident of election-related violence has come to light.
As per report, miscreants vandalized a four-wheeler (WagonR) carrying two empty Electronic Voting Machines. The car registered with number AS 03 AB 4768 was returning from Jengraimukh polling station number 142 to polling station number 139. Besides the driver, there were two-sector officers and two EVM boxes inside the car.

Meanwhile, in another incident in Krimganj district, Pranav Kumar Roy, a BJP alliance candidate of Rashtriya Samata Dal has alleged Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Ajiz Ahmed of attacking him. The BJP alliance candidate Pranav Kumar Roy was addressing an election campaign rally at Duttagaon where he was allegedly attacked. Roy has lodged an FIR at Nilambazar police station.

In yet another incident, a few people allegedly attacked MLA Dr Nazrul Islam. It is said that rumours spread that Islam and his son Congress Mahajath candidate Asif Nazar were distributing money among people which instigated the attack. Bhuragaon police reached the spot and the situation was brought under control.
