Kokrajhar: Police have apprehended one person involved in the distribution of fake Indian currency note (FICN) here on Monday. The person was apprehended from Kachugaon in Assam's Kokrajhar district.
Fake currency seized from Kokrajhar district The arrested person has been identified as Saddam Hussain (23) from Parerchar in Bongaigaon district and he was a member of Borigaon Gaon Panchayat.
A two-wheeler vehicle bearing registration. no. AS-19 H /7880 with fake currency of Rs. 2,17,900/-, one rubber stamp of Borigaon Gaon Panchyat, Voter ID card, AADHAAR card, PAN card and a VIVO V9 mobile phone was seized from his possession.
Kokrajhar police took him under custody while further search in different areas of Bongaigaon district is going on.
