Arunachal: Exchange of fire between Army and NSCN-R; one militant killed

An NSCN-R militant was killed during an exchange of fire between the Rajputana Rifles of Indian Army and the NSCN-R militants in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district.

Changlang (Arunachal Pradesh): A National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Reformation (NSCN-R) militant was killed during an encounter with the security forces in the Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district.

As per the information the exchange of fire took place between the Rajputana Rifles of Indian Army and the NSCN-R militants in the wee hours of Saturday.

The slain militant was identified as Gyatsom Harap.

The Army also recovered an M16 Rifle from the site of encounter.

The search operation is being carried out by the Army and the civil police of the area.
