Baksa (Assam): The police in Assam's Baksa district have recovered arms and ammunition buried underground.
The development assumes significance as the four districts of Bodoland Territorial Areas Districts including Kokrajhar, Baksa, Udalguri and Chirang is heading for the election of the Bodoland territorial council (BTC) that runs the administration in the areas.
Police said that two AK 47 rifles, four magazines and 520 rounds of live ammunition were recovered by a police team led by Additional Superintendent of Police, Lamhao Doungal. The arms and ammunition were hidden underground at Chinadi Basti near Dihing river in the district.
