Hyderabad:Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy, who is accused in the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy, the younger brother of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, and paternal uncle of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, yet again dashed off a letter to the CBI. He has sent a letter to the CBI officials stating that he will not be able to attend the interrogation, which is slated for May 22.

In the letter, it was stated that due to the illness of his mother, he is not attending tomorrow's interrogation and sought more time. Avinash Reddy's mother, Srilakshmi, has been undergoing treatment at Vishwabharati Hospital in Kurnool since May 19 due to chest pain. Doctors conducted various tests on her as part of the medical examination. Angiogram was also conducted on Srilakshmi, the doctors said.

Avinash wrote a letter stating that he could not attend the interrogation tomorrow as the doctors said that his mother's condition was alarming, hence, he could not leave his mother in such a difficult situation. The letter stated that when his mother is discharged from the Vishwa Bharti Hospital...then he will cooperate with the investigation.

He disclosed that it will take at least 10 days for his mother to be discharged from the hospital. Avinash Reddy did not appear for the interrogation even on the dates of notices issued twice in the past. Avinash Reddy replied that he would not be able to attend the interrogation for the third time. However, it remains to be seen how CBI officials would respond to his request.
