Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams is currently running a marriage scheme called 'Kalyanam Scheme' under which persons can get married free-of-cost. TTD sends all of the 'blessings' directly to the couple's address.

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh):Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD), an administrative wing of Tirupati Venkateswara Temple is currently running a marriage scheme called 'Kalyanam Scheme' which is gaining huge popularity.

The marriage is free-of-cost under this Kalyanam Scheme.

Besides, TTD provides various items to the newly wedlock couple in a form of blessings.

The wedding usually starts with the ritual called Kankanadharana which means tieing Raksha Bandhan that is believed to protect the couple from all harms.

For this, the TTD provides the Kumkum and Kankanam, symbols of protection from all harms at weddings.

Another wedding ritual called Talambralu which takes place at the end of the wedding when the couple receives the Srivari Blessings in the form of Srivari Akshatalu.

Srivari Akshatalu, a mix of rice and turmeric and little amount of ghee which the newlywed couple is used to pour on each other.

Talambralu, a blessing from Venkateswara Swamy is believed to give all happiness and riches to the newlywed couple.

Besides all of these, the "Kalyana Samskruti" a book that is all about marriage is also presented by the TTD along with blessings in the form of Veda Asarvachanam to the couple.

Every item that TTD will send has a real meaning that preserves the etiquette and tradition of India.

TTD would send all of these blessings to the address of the couple.
