Andhra's rising star of astrophotography

Hailing from the temple town of Tirupathi, 22-year-old Shravan developed an interest in space and related developments in his childhood. He used to stay with his grandfather in Sullurpet which is very close to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. He went on to become an engineer by profession and astrophotographer by night.

Tirupathi (Andhra Pradesh): Stargazing is one such activity which will put one's mind to complete zen state. While it is soothing to the eyes, it also gives the stargazer holistic insights about the machinery of the Universe and our place in it. This again was what drew Shravan to space and night skies. An engineer by profession and astrophotographer by night, Shravan captures the night sky with great enthusiasm.

Shravan completed his engineering degree and recently joined as a trainee engineer in the automobile company Isuzu Motors in Sri City.

Hailing from the temple town of Tirupathi, 22-year-old Shravan developed an interest in space and related developments in his childhood. He used to stay with his grandfather in Sullurpet which is very close to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. Shravan grew up watching a countless number of space vehicle launches, gradually becoming a huge fan of the ISRO facility.

Though he was not able to become a space scientist, Shravan turned to space photography which for him is a subject of great interest. Since astrophotography is only possible in places without dust and light pollution, he always villages in Nellore where light and dust pollution are at the minimum.

He has clicked numerous photographs of astronomical objects and events from Chellur and Rayala Cheruvu.

Shravan has proved that with determination great astronomy events and objects can be photographed. By pursuing his passion astro photography, he is a role model for the youth in the country.
