Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan offers prayers at Tirupati

Union Minister and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan visited the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati on Thursday to offer his prayers after winning all the six seats the party contested in Bihar in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.

Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh):Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Thursday paid his visit to the Venkateswara temple in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district to offer his prayers.

The LJP is a key constituent of the Bharatiya Janta Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, and his visit comes in the backdrop of the regional party winning all the six parliamentary seats it contested in the state in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.

Paswan, who was accompanied by his wife on the visit, said, "It was very nice to visit the temple. I along with my wife had visited the temple long ago. Everyone comes here with a wish and those wishes are fulfilled."

The LJP leader took oath as Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on May 30 along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other cabinet ministers.

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) won six parliamentary seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.

On June 9, Modi also came to Tirupati to seek blessings of Lord Venkateswara after he successfully secured the second term as the Prime Minister.
