A nurse named Hemalatha was photographed talking on a phone while vaccinating a person for Covid. The picture went viral prompting a backlash from the authorities.

Vizianagaram (Andhra Pradesh): A photograph of a health worker inoculating a woman while speaking on a cell phone drawn the ire of netizens. The image was reportedly taken at Jagannadhapuram Urban Primary Healthcare Centre in Vijayanagaram.

The image was shared many times on social media platforms. The health worker in the photograph drew sharp criticism from netizens for the 'callous' act.

The District Health officer Ramana kumari issued a show-cause notice to the health worker over this incident.
