Nellore:A large number of people are heading to a town in Andhra Pradesh to get ayurvedic cure for Covid-19, reports said.
Long queues were seen at the facility at Krishnapatanam after lawmaker Kakani Govardhan Reddy of the governing YSRCP party said that medicines would be distributed on Friday, reports said.
The dash for the facility in Nellore district caused a three-kilometer traffic jam.

The short-lived distribution of medicines, which started amid chaos, was halted after the authorities stepped in following reports that Covid norms were being violated and police asked people to leave the site.
The medication prepared by a local Ayurveda practitioner, Anandiah, has been attracting people over the past few days. He became a local sensation after visuals of his treatment went viral on social media.
The medicine is given for free, which is in the form of pellets or liquid drops and contains natural antioxidants and components such as pepper, ginger, neem, turmeric, palm jaggery, honey, black cumin, cloves, java plum shoots, mango shoots, amla, hyacinth leaves, pippinta leaves, Calotropis procera, thorny brinjal and Tinospora codifolio, commonly known as giloy.
