Human skeleton found near Vengalaraya Sagar reservoir

Villagers in Sambara village at Makkuva Mandal in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh found a human skeleton on Monday near Vengalaraya Sagar reservoir. Villagers claimed that half of the skeleton was burned and other parts were wrapped in a cloth.

Vizianagaram:A human skeleton was found by the villagers near Vengalaraya Sagar reservoir in Sambara village at Makkuva Mandal in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

The skeleton was found near the reservoir's left bank. The fragments of the skull and bones were discovered after the concrete of the canal (reservoir's left bank) broke.

Villagers claimed that half of the skeleton was burned and other parts were wrapped in a cloth.

Local residents alerted the police and the latter are yet to respond.

However, the locals suspect that the dead bodies of people were buried in concrete during the construction of the reservoir.
