Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh): In an unusual case, a remand prisoner lodged in a district jail in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam was allowed to appear for a government job examination on Sunday.
According to reports, S Siva Kumar, a native of Chapara village in Meliaoutti mandal was lodged in a district jail in Ampolu near Srikakulam city, after he was arrested in a cheating case 45 days back.
He had applied for the Gram (Village) and Ward Secretariat recruitment examinations before he was arrested, and hence authorities decided to allow him to appear for the examination.
