AP student selected for NASA tour on winning space contest

A student from Andhra Pradesh's Guntur has been selected to visit NASA. She is among three Indian students who won the National Space Science Contest 2019, organized by Go4Guru earlier this year. She will later participate in Go4Guru's International Space Science Contest, an essay competition, to be held at NASA's Kennedy Space Station for a scholarship of US$ 10,000 by the Florida Institute of Technology.

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh): Sai Poojitha from Bhashyam Group of Schools in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur is all set to fly to the United States during the first week of October to spend a week at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and interact with the NASA astronauts.

The student was among the thousands of participants of the National Space Science Contest 2019, organized by Go4Guru earlier this year. The winners of the 2019 contest will take part in Go4Guru's International Space Science Contest, an essay competition, to be held at NASA's Kennedy Space Station during the first week of October.

Five students, who will be adjudged as the winners of the international contest, will each be awarded a scholarship of US$ 10,000 by the Florida Institute of Technology, the USA for its courses.

She is among 3 students who have been selected for the visit from India.

Other two students are J Dhaanya Thasnem from Tamil Nadu and Abhishek Sharma from Maharashtra.
