The farmer, identified as Ravi is a resident of Vanabhagiri in Vishakhapatnam district.

Ravi was travelling, when the Police in a combing operation thought he might be 'Naxal' as he looked like one dressed in an olive green shirt and rubber boots.

Police after a thorough investigation and screening of the documents, finally freed Ravi.

Local people said that these olive-green shirts and boots are cheaper in the market and they are also good in cold climates. The incident of a farmer being detained under the suspicion of Naxal has caused panic among the local community.

Police, however, suggested that people must avoid wearing olive coloured clothes since the attire is associated with the Naxals.
