AP High court ordered to register criminal case against mission build AP director Praveen Kumar

The High Court has directed to register a case against an IAS officer in Andhra Pradesh. The Court directed the High Court Registrar (Judicial) to start Criminal prosecution against the Director of Mission Build AP, Praveen Kumar.

Andhra Pradesh: The High Court has directed to register a case against an IAS officer in Andhra Pradesh. The Court directed the High Court Registrar (Judicial) to start Criminal prosecution against the Director of Mission Build AP, Praveen Kumar.

The High Court expressed impatience over a false affidavit that had been submitted to the Court by the Director.

The High Court is hearing public interest litigation filed against the sale of government lands in the state under Mission Build AP. The state government has filed a petition seeking the withdrawal of Justice Rakesh Kumar from the case while the trial is going on.

The High Court has issued these directions on a petition filed by the government, expressed dissatisfaction that there were errors in the affidavit filed by the Government.

The High Court bench, comprised of Justice Rakesh Kumar and Justice Ramesh outraged on the affidavit, which mentioned some remarks as the Judge said. But actually, those comments were not made by the Judge.

The two-judge bench directed the court to prosecute IAS officer Praveen Kumar, who filed the Requisial petition. And issued a Show-cause notice to him stating that why he should not be considered under contempt of court proceedings. It was ordered to give an explanation within two weeks. The court adjourned the next hearing to the second week of February.
