AP: Blast in pharma company kills 3

Blast in a pharma company in East Godavari district in which 3 people were reported dead.

Andhra: Three workers died in an explosion that occurred in a pharma company's factory at Gauripatnam in Devarapalli Mandal of East Godavari district on Tuesday. According to the officials, a technical problem arose while repairing the ethyl column tube in the drug factory.

There was a sudden explosion in the factory while workers were repairing the chemical tube of ethyl which seriously injured the three workers. The injured were rushed to the Kovvuru Government Hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead.

After the death of the factory workers, CITU(Centre of Indian Trade Unions) protested against the blast and asked for compensation for the bereaved family members. The district administration took cognizance of the situation and ordered a probe into the factory blast incident.
