Woman along with boyfriend kills mother in Andhra

A young woman from Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh allegedly killed her mother because the latter did not approve of her love affair.

Vizianagaram:In a shocker, a young woman allegedly killed her mother as the latter was against her love affair. The murder was reported from Savaravalli village in Bhogapuram Mandal, Andhra Pradesh.

Rupashree, a B-Pharmacy student, was in a relationship with Varun Sai, her classmate from intermediate college. Her parents Lakshmi and Srinivas were against this relationship as their younger daughter -- Rupashree's sister -- had previously eloped with her boyfriend. Though Rupashree tried convincing her parents to accept her relationship, her efforts went futile.

Miffed with this, Rupashree and Varun strangled Lakshmi, who in turn fell unconscious. Srinivas, who happened to see Lakshmi in such a condition, rushed her to a private hospital in Visakhapatnam. She failed to respond to the treatment and passed away.

The police initially registered a case of suspicious death. Later, they learnt the truth from the autopsy report and arrested the young couple on charges of murder.
