Alstom achieves rare distinction in rail coach production

While several other industries have stopped production due to Corona pandemic, Alstom has set a record by rolling out its best quality rail bogies in recent times. It had rolled out its 500th rail bogie recently.

Tirupathi: While the corona had adverse effects on several industries that failed to produce products, Alstom has succeeded in its efforts, as it produced a 500th rail coach.

The Alstom company is the biggest and famous for its metro rail coaches production among Asia Pacific nations. This company has been catering to the needs of its international clientele such as Sydney, Montreal and other cities.

In India, Alstom offers its rail coaches to cities like Chennai, Kochi, Lucknow, and Mumbai. The Alstom company has recently announced that its rail coaches have set a record by running a staggering 2.70 lakh km on tracks across the world.

In 2012 it came into existence to provide rail bogies for Chennai Metro Rail project. The company has the capacity to roll out 480 rail coaches every year. Despite the corona pandemic Alstom has registered an impressive production of rail bogies and catering to the needs of diverse clients.

During the unlock period of Corona pandemic, Alstom has restarted production and achieved its targets to roll out the best quality rail coaches.

The first rail coach produced after the corona pandemic has been delivered to its foreign clients.

The company representatives have informed that they have offered the first rail coach to Reso Express Metropolitan centre of Montreal city in Canada. The company delivers its rail coaches to its clients including — Mumbai Metro Aqualine, Montreal Metro- Reso Express, Sydney Metro companies.

In addition to its inspectors, and engineering staff, Alstom has about 15 per cent, other staff, in several wings, the company says.
