This 70-year-old beggar was Rs 3 lakh rich before he died

Begging for alms at a Dargah for several years, Basheer Saheb died on June 26 having currency notes worth Rs.3 lakh. Total cash found in his bag was estimated at around Rs 3,22,670 lakh.

Anantapuram:The death of a 70-year-old beggar in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapuram turned out to be astounding when three lakh worth of currency notes were found in his bag.

The incident happened on June 26 in Guntakal town.

According to reports, the beggar identified as Basheer Saheb was found begging for alms when he breathed his last, carrying over three lakh rupees in currency.

Saheb was seen begging at Mastan Vali Dargah for the past several years.

The amount was recovered near the corpse when the police went to shift the body, the police said.

According to officials, while inspecting his bag for identity proof, they found a huge amount of currency notes and coins.

Total cash found in his bag was estimated at around Rs 3,22,670 lakh.
