Amaravati:Andhra PradeshChief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday held a review meeting on the prevailing Covid-19 situation, vaccination drive and surging cases on Black Fungus across the state.
State Health officials informed the Chief Minister that 1,179 Black Fungus cases are currently active in the state with 1,068 patients being treated, 97 people recovered and 14 people dead.

Their latest observation revealed that Black Fungus has been developed in few patients who were previously not infected by Covid-19.
"1,139 patients were infected with COVID-19 and 40 people were infected with Black Fungus without having exposed to COVID earlier," said Anil Kumar Singhal, Principal Secretary (Health).
